Miscellaneous Errata

• Beginning with E2fsprogs-1.40.5, the command mke2fs can now produce filesystems with 256-byte inodes. Grub cannot read such filesystems by default, so if you create such a file system with the host machine's newer E2fsprogs, you will see an error when running Grub. The following patch for Grub addresses this issue: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/patches/downloads/grub/grub-0.97-256byte_inode-1.patch. For more information see: this ticket.
