This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS 12.0 platform.

Installation of GStreamer Libav

Install GStreamer Libav by running the following commands: 

mkdir build &&
cd    build &&

meson  setup ..            \
       --prefix=/usr       \
       --buildtype=release \
       -Dpackage-origin=https://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/12.0-systemd/ \
       -Dpackage-name="GStreamer 1.22.5 BLFS" &&
ninja

To run the tests, issue: ninja test.

Now, as the root user: 

ninja install

Command Explanations

--buildtype=release: Specify a buildtype suitable for stable releases of the package, as the default may produce unoptimized binaries.
